Workshops

We aim to catalyse change through the design and delivery of facilitated workshops that are customised according to the needs of each client. Our areas of impact include employee engagement, communication and relationships, team performance, employee wellness, leadership development and organisational values and culture.

Our workshop content draws from five key themes making up the Appletree Now! series. Download a complete overview of our NOW! series here.

Our style is less of a transactional (left brain) approach and more of a transformational (whole brain) one. We first challenge existing patterns of thinking, feeling and doing to create the space for individuals to recognise and action new possibilities that are relevant to them and the context in which they operate.

What differentiates us in how we work:

  • We ask appropriate challenging questions.
  • We share thought provoking insights and models (our own and those of others).
  • We connect by sharing our own personal experiences and stories.
  • We observe patterns in behaviour and offer objective feedback.
  • We create space for people to have transformational conversations with each other.
  • We learn through activities and games.
  • We use relevant audio visuals to reinforce learnings.
  • We create opportunities for people to slow down and do some introspection.
  • We use video role plays to give people feedback on how they are communicating.

Outcomes

While the outcome of our work impacts the areas of leadership, team performance, relationship building, employee engagement, individual wellness and vitality, at the root of it all, our workshops are about catalyzing changes in each individual’s perspective of life and work.

What can be expected for the INDIVIDUAL -

  • A capacity to explore win-win solutions.
  • An ability to consider different solutions in the moment.
  • A willingness and ability to create clarity at crucial pressured moments.
  • Improved working relationships with colleagues.
  • A less judgmental attitude to colleagues as a result of enhanced understanding.
  • A greater capacity to deal with work-place stress and tension.
  • An improved ability to listen and communicate.

An increased sense of:

  • Autonomy – the urge to direct their own life,
  • Mastery – the urge to get better and better at what they love doing, and
  • Meaning – the urge to do what they do in service of something bigger than self.
  • An increase in engagement with life.
  • An increased sense of authenticity and personal integrity.
  • An increased ability to influence growth in others.

What can be expected for the TEAM

A shared sense of meaning around:

  • what the team collectively stand for.
  • who the people are who make it so unique.
  • where the team is going and what contribution is required from each individual.
