When I started my journey with Appletree I had a three-year-old. I had waited 10 years for her and had poured all my energy into being her mum. I asked myself the question one day – what will my life be like in 10 years time when she no longer needs me so much? The answer was quite a reality check as she was my world. I had been involved in sales, and had also run my own business in Johannesburg prior to my daughter being born. For various reasons, I had lost my self-confidence through the long years of waiting and longing for my own child.
It was around this same time a close friend invited me to go on a course with Appletree and so my journey began. It struck so many cords for me that I had this immediate desire to learn more. I realised that even while I was in sales, people often spoke to me on a personal level and it was in this space that I thrived. Appletree has given me the tools to engage life and live the life I longed for, and the language to share with others the joy of living each day with awareness, peace and simplicity.
I have been part of Appletree now for five years and what started as a journey in one direction has opened up a whole variety of new and interesting avenues for me. I am very fortunate that my husband has encouraged and supported me every step of the way. Life has a way of giving me exactly what I need with perfect timing.
I am inspired by people who live their true potential and continue to grow no matter what their age.
I am passionate about holistic living and finding balance and happiness in their marriage.
What I love most about my work is encouraging people to find their balance.
What I love most about living in SA is our beautiful summers and how the warmth of the sun emanates from South Africans.
I share my home with my larger than life husband Goondi (nickname) my beautiful daughter, our precious Glor and her husband, 5 character filled dogs and a cat that has her own quirks.
I love listening to people who make sense.
I am currently reading “What the dog saw” and love autobiographies, historical books and reading Roald Dahl to my daughter.
I believe in hope.
